Legit Queso owner Kiersten Bartlett—or preferably Chef K—is a maker of happy and provider of innovative fresh food solutions. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found six businesses over the course of 20 years. Her latest venture brought her from Kansas City to Napa Valley, where Legit Queso was finally perfected. A cheese lover herself, Chef K is inspired to create clean label, locally sourced products that are flavorful, easy to prepare, and delightful to devour!

  • Yes! We can’t make any promises, but we love when our Legit Queso community wants to get involved and share their thoughts. Wanna be our ambassador?

  • We care about the environment, so our packaging is sustainable and recyclable! We’d love it to be compostable, but then it would melt in the microwave and make a mess.

  • We love animals. Our company mascot is a not-so-bright dog named Ollie. What he lacks in smarts he makes up for in inducing smiles. There is also our lil buddy Chippy, but not sure that is an animal . . .

  • Buy chippy buddies, tee shirts, hats, and more swag—coming soon!

  • It's designed to be “heat and eat.” Remove lid, cook in the microwave for 2 minutes, or to desired temp, then stir and enjoy. If you’re old fashioned, feel free to heat in a proper pan, on the stovetop, over low heat. We don’t judge.
